Placement Test Info
The key to mastering a new language and having a wonderful learning experience is starting with a class that is right for you!
Take our quick and easy Placement Test, either online or in person, and a La Petite Ecole Française teacher will be happy to help you find a class that matches your level of French and interests. Complete Beginners may skip the test and directly sign up for any French 101 level class.
Follow the instructions below and take the Placement Test today!
Step 1: Written Section

Download and complete the appropriate test below. Email it to info@thelittlefrenchschool.com or bring it to La Petite Ecole Française for a walk-in evaluation (details below).
Adults (ages 18+) / Teens (ages 15–17)
*If your child (ages 7+) does not write in French but can speak French, then he or she can skip the written section and go directly to the oral section.
Step 2: Oral Section
The written section must be followed by a short conversation in French with one of our French teachers who will assess your speaking skills. This conversation can take place over the phone or in person. If you submit the written test online or via email, we will contact you to schedule the oral section. If you bring your written test to La Petite Ecole Française in person, the oral section will take place at that time.
Step 3: Class Registration
After both the written and oral sections of the test are evaluated, the teacher will recommend a suitable class. You may then register either online or in person at La Petite Ecole Française.
